I don’t want you to think that I am just another woman who was inspired by the birth of her children and decided to jump into the career of making bags, although there is some truth to that! Sewing and designing are things that I have always done (a learned skill from my mother). With the birth of our 2 children, we (my amazingly supportive husband, Matty and I) decided that I would stay home and raise the babies. Well, I am doing just that and I have decided that I don’t want to go back to my conventional day job when the kids get bigger so…… that is how laura z™ came to be.

What I do is not rocket science, nor did I reinvent the wheel, I just have taken something (bags) and made them better. I design each bag and have a wonderful team of home sewers who, along with me, help handle the production end of things. All of our bags are hand sewn, not mass produced. Each bag is made in limited quantities. Once the fabric runs out, so does that particular bag. So, get them while you can! I do hope that you will challenge yourself to be the proud owner of one of our bags. It will change the way you carry things!
